|Recommended: YesAmazing Best place to live in Madison — This place has the best value of all the student housing apartments. If you want to live in an apartment at any point during your time in college this is the place to be
|Recommended: YesIt gives a nice comforting home away from home feel. — I enjoy living here and the amount of space in the apartment.
|Recommended: YesOverall good but loud neighbors — good location has everything I need. its better than other places
|Recommended: YesGood location, clean, affordable — I love that the location is directly off of state street. The property staff is very patient and accommodating. My one complaint is that it takes maintenance weeks to respond to a work order, and once they come to fix the problem, it still isn't fixed once they leave.
|Recommended: YesGreat location, all utilities included on site, very happy — It is amazing being so close to state street and campus. I have a view of the capital down state street from my room and that view is unbeatable. I can't hear my neighbors through my apartment and the place is furnished and has a nice homey feel to it.
|Recommended: YesGreat location — love the apartment location rooms are cozy and have good closet space.
|Recommended: YesI love living at 244 W Gilman. — The property owners are amazing and understanding. They are quick to fix any maintenance issues. The only thing I think could make living here better is if fobs were installed instead of keys to open doors.
|Recommended: YesSteve Brown Apartments is responsive to tenant requests and reputable within the Madison community. — Really nice apartment, really good location, affordable price.
|Recommended: YesExcellent place to live — Only complaint would be that the building only has key entry, would recommend they install fobs instead for the building entry doors.
|Recommended: YesGreat — Everything about our experience in 244 has been excellent One thing we thing would be appreciated is switching the key lock entrances, to fob locked entrances on the main level. Being off state street, the night time can be sketchy. I think having the entrance locked with a fob would make people feel more secure. Also, providing cameras by the main entrance. The other thing I would recommend is moving the bike rack to the inside of the garage. Personally, I had a bike stolen from the main bike rack, so I think it would be more secure if it was moved inside. Other than the security factors, everything has been great. The management is friendly and helpful and our space is in great shape.
|Recommended: YesGreat Place — It is awesome and easy
|Recommended: NoAwful renewal process — Forced to resign on an apartment before I even know what classes I'll be taking next year If I had a choice, yes I would have liked to live in 244 W Gilman again next year. However the fact that you refused to allow us to maintain our current rent next year since we did not re-sign within 10 days of school starting is absolutely asinine. Awful management.
|Recommended: YesActual apartments are very nice, parking is a disaster... — If you were to live here the apartments and very nice and spacious but do not park here. There are gigantic pot holes on the road to get to the parking garage that almost feel as though your tire will pop off. There are constantly people parked in the alley way to get in and out of the garage so almost anytime you want to enter or exit you need to wait for them or hunt them down to move their car. Parking is expensive and definitely not worth spending the money on.
|Recommended: YesGood quality and comfortable for a very affordable price. — I love my current apartment It's really cozy and the management staff is always helpful and pleasant.
|Recommended: YesGood Value Living — The layout of the apartment is the best part. I struggled finding an apartment with an enjoyable layout, but this was exactly what I was looking for. The only downsides that I could possibly point out are the lack of moped parking spaces below the building none and I can hear almost every conversation when I walk down the hallways.
